Moray and Aberdeen-shire

The Moray Speyside area stretches along the coast from the sprawling expanse of the Culbin Forest to the pretty town of Cullen, and rolls south into the rugged Cairngorms National Park.  Known for its Malt Whisky Trail, spectacular coastline and large expanses of hill and forest, the Moray area is rich in varied landscapes that create an idyllic backdrop to any holiday.

The historic town of Forres (referenced in Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’) is the first main town as you arrive in Moray from Inverness, and is ideally situated for exploring everything from distilleries and golf courses to breath-taking beaches and peaceful woodland.

Nearby Elgin has fascinating historic sites to explore from magnificent cathedral remains to local castles.  Its central location in Moray means that it is an ideal base in the area, and a short drive to a range of local highlights.

The pretty towns of Fochabers and Keith are close to the path of the River Spey and within easy reach of Spey Bay, and Speyside’s whisky distilleries and rugged hills.
