This is a beautiful log cabin. It has everything you could need, was beautifully clean and in fabulous condition. We took the dog and the garden was large and safe for him. We would definitely recommend.

Komfortables sauberes Haus in der Nähe des Meeres. Tolle Küstenabschnitte in der Nähe. Netter Vermieter. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der unmittelbaren Nähe etwas eingeschränkt. Sehr erholsam dort:

Lovely, well-presented cabin that was warm and cosy. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Has everything you could need from self-catering accomodation and is in a great location where a number of fantastic sights are accessible by a short drive. Our dog enjoyed his stay too!

Beautiful part of the world and the location of the cabin allowed us to access fantastic beaches and forests and walks. We had great meals out too. The Pier at Lairg is a must!

We loved our stay at Taigh Fiodha - we have 7 and 5 year old children and a dog, and found it a great base to go out and about - easy access to Inverness, Black Isle, Dornoch, plenty of good places locally to grab a bite to eat, loads of scope for taking the dog for a walk. Owners were very helpful - welcomed us on arrival and responded immediately to any queries. One thing to watch though....in our more cashless world, we found it a bit of a chore to find £1 coins for the meter on which the heating runs and ran out on a couple of occasions - best to save these up or pay a visit to a bank before the start of the holiday!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Taigh Fiodha really felt like a home away from home. The house is in a super location, with great views of the surrounding countryside. Excellent facilities in the house, and a beautifully well-maintained garden. Hope to go back again one day!

Very good overall experience - I would recommend it to friends. Only downside is the remoteness of the location from good restaurants, which meant that driving or self-catering is essential for everyone in the party to enjoy a drink. However the view and peacefulness were major plus points and the kitchen was sufficiently well-equipped to facilitate food preparation.

We've just returned from a lovely break in Taigh Fiondha, the house is beautifully presented and has everything you could think of, the kitchen is better equipped than home! The layout is open plan so great for kids to run around and there is loads of outdoor space, it is near a road and isn't completely enclosed so you need to be careful with young kids but there is so much space it isn't a problem. The owners were really friendly on arrival, showing us where everything was but then we were left completely to our own devices, knowing they were nearby if we'd needed them. Spotlessly clean and clearly been done to a really high standard. Kids loved it & so close to the seaside with a really beautiful beach. Completely faultless - can't recommend highly enough.

A very well situated, good quality family lodge. Warm, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely views across to the hills. Those with children may wish updated TV/freeview but this is a minor issue and more pertinent in autumn/winter when more of the evening is spent indoors. Would definitely stay again and if you can provide 10% off vouchers for Anta you could save me a fortune!!!

We stayed in Taigh Fiodha for three nights in early July this year (2014). The property was actually much better than we were expecting, exceptionally well kept, clean and with excellent facilities. The beds were all really comfortable with adequate bedding and it is easy to get a good nights sleep here as the area is so quiet and peaceful. We were also pleasantly surprised to find the cabin also had decent wifi, a small supply of dvd's and several board games. The cabin is less than 10 mins walk to a small convenient store and a similar distance to the beach. Bigger supermarkets were about 10 mins away by car. This is an excellent base to explore the north highlands from though you will definitely need a car to get about. You can expect very peaceful evenings at the cabin. There is also a decent bbq, a great garden and no midgies! The owners live close by and they are very friendly, welcoming and completely respect your privacy. I would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. If you are looking to stay in this area then rent this cabin if it is available, you will not be disappointed!

Excellent accommodation and plenty big enough for a party of 6. The only slight problem we had was the low number of saucepans. The large safe garden was a hit with our grandchildren.

We stayed at this house for just 3 nights - we loved it. It´s a great holiday home, especially when travelling with kids & family. Well situated & equipped. We couldn´t sit outside, unfortunately, because of the weather. It was clean & comfy. Nothing to complain about.
