Having the same owners as No 2 Mackay Road, this three-bedroom holiday home was completed in Spring 2018.  It is a short walk to the centre of the town, minutes from the recreation ground and close to the world renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club and the sandy beaches.  Walking, fishing, bird watching and other outdoor activities are all within easy reach.

The house has a smart TV with Sky+ and a good selection of books, games, cards and jigsaws for all ages.  The enclosed garden is currently laid to lawn and the south facing terrace is equipped with barbecue, table and chairs. There is a large shed for the storage of golf bags, bicycles etc.   The house is less than 5 minutes’ drive from both the golf club and the beach.

The Sitting room is furnished with ample seating, flat screen smart TV, with SkyQ, dresser, selection of books, cards, jigsaws, games and DVDs

The Dining Room has seats up to 8 at dining table and has French windows leading out to the rear garden

The Kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, double sink, fridge/freezer, electric induction hob, fan oven, extractor, combination microwave, toaster, kettle, French press (cafetière). It is equipped with crockery, cutlery and glassware for up to 8, and set up for relaxed cooking and entertaining

Utility Room: Also known as the dog room, with door to garden, sink, washer/dryer, larder cupboard,  iron, ironing board, etc., coat hooks and space for a dog bed

Master bedroom is furnished with a king size (5’) bed, fitted wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables with lamps, side chair, mirror and hairdryer

Second bedroom has a super king (6’) bed (which can be separated on request to make two singles), fitted wardrobe, bedside tables, dressing table, side chair, mirror and bedside lights.

The Third bedroom has two single beds, hanging rail with hooks, chest of drawers, mirror, bedside table, bedside lights

The upstairs bathroom is a spacious bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, WC, basin, heated towel rail and mirror

Outside the property:  The front is laid to lawn with off street parking for 2 cars.  A side gate leads to the fully enclosed, south facing, rear garden which is mainly lawned, with a paved terrace, table, chairs and barbecue

Heating: The house is fully double glazed, and has solar PV/electric central heating and hot water

 

All bed linen, towels, electricity, heating, Wi-Fi and parking are included in the price. The house is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.

If guests would like bedroom 2 to be set up with twin beds in place of the 6’ bed this must be confirmed at the time of booking.

For stays of 10 days or more a change of linen will be provided.  This holiday home is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher and laundry tablets, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.  The owners’ larder is left open on an honesty basis – if you finish something, please replace it.

Food shops: The Dornoch Stores is the town’s newly opened delicatessen and off-license.  There is a Co-op in the middle of the town and a convenience store on the retail park. Tesco, Asda and Lidl supermarkets are in Tain, which is 15 minutes’ drive away.  Dornoch also has a good selection of other shops including Jail for clothes, shoes, and gifts, the Bookshop, the Hardware Store, Dornoch Farm Butchers, the Antique Shop, Kincraig fabrics, garden centre, hairdressers, chemist, post office, an art gallery and the Courthouse with its whisky shop, spa and café.

The historic Cathedral is central to town life, and there are other denominations represented in the town.  There are also a museum and library

Restaurants: Luigi’s bistro, Sutherland House, Links House, The Eagle Hotel, Highland Spice Indian Restaurant

Booking terms & cancellation policy: 30% of the total rental is charged on the day of booking to confirm your booking with the final 70% due no later than 6 weeks before arrival. There is a 24-hour cooling off period after your booking is placed where you may cancel free of charge after that you will be required to pay the full rental amount if you cancel.

Security deposit: an amount of £100 will be pre-authorised against the card you pay your final balance 10 days prior to arrival. This will reduce your available balance on your card by £100 for 30 days.

Cancellation protection is available and offered during the booking process.

Entry details: arrival time is any time after 4pm, latest departure time is 10am.

Dogs should be restricted to the utility room and living room.

Bedroom 2 is set up for a 6’ double bed.  If you require twin beds, please notify us at the time of booking.

Located in a quiet residential area of Dornoch and only minutes from Dornoch town centre. This property is near the world renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club and the many sandy beaches. Walking, fishing and other outdoor activities are all within easy reach.
