Two-bedroom ground floor apartment in the centre of Cromarty beside the harbour.
This ‘B’ listed property dating from the 1700’s forms part of what was formerly the northern wing of a Hemp Works which worked hemp imported from St Petersburg. Now fully refurbished offering guests a traditional harbour setting with modern facilities.

All rooms are on the ground floor:
Open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area: 2 settees, TV with Freeview channels, DVD player, CD player/radio. The kitchen has an electric oven, electric hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine/dryer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, ample kitchen equipment. The view from this room is toward the Cromarty Firth. The dining area has a pull-out table and 4 stools.
Bedroom 1: Double bed, bedside cabinet with light, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, alarm clock radio.
Bedroom 2: Bunk beds, bedside unit with light, alarm clock radio, wardrobe.
Bathroom: Bath with mains shower, wash hand basin, toilet.
Outside: Parking directly outside the apartment and easy access to the beach, harbour and town centre.
The apartment has free Wi-Fi, an iron and ironing board, a selection of maps, books and board games and hairdryer. There are also deck chairs and buckets and spades for the beach which is 30 metres away.
All bed linen, towels, tea towels, electricity and heating, Wi-Fi.
The house is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.
Free off-street parking.
Sutor Creek restaurant offering Scottish seafood, wood-fired pizza and seasonal menu.
Couper’s Creek – lunch, cake ice cream and gifts.
The Royal Hotel – family friendly restaurant. 30 yards form Seaview apartment.
Cromarty Arms – pub servicing bar meals and teas and coffee.
Ecoventures – dolphin spotting trips. Only 100 metres from the apartment.
There is a grocery store, bakers, antique shop, post office and other cafes and shops in Cromarty.
Check in time after 4pm, check out time 10am.
30% of the total rental is charged on the day of booking to confirm your booking with the final 70% no later than 6 weeks before arrival. There is a 24-hour cooling off period after your booking is placed where you may cancel free of charge after that you will be required to pay the full rental amount if you cancel.
Cancellation protection policy is available during booking or before the final balance payment is made.

Location good although very disappointed with all the oil rigs Bed comfortable but extremely squeaky which wakes you up when you move Wok and frying pan need replacing badly scrapped/burnt The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, the area is very pretty and quite, both ound on the village provide food, locals really friendly, ideal break for couples but tad boring for children
I THE BYRE, CROMARTY

We really enjoyed our stay at the Byre in Cromarty and it was in a splendid position overlooking the water. The accommodation was good although the sitting room/kitchen was compact we managed well for our holiday retreat.

We were delighted with this bright, clean, quiet apartment in a lovely old building but modern inside. Bed linens and towels are all very nice. Main drawback for us was that only one key is provided and there is no way to secure the door from the inside without the key so I either had to leave the door unlocked when I went out or leave the key with the other guest (slightly disabled and deaf) and hope I could get back in. There is a key safe but that only works if all guests are out of the property. I contacted the owner about this but he was quite dismissive of my concerns and said he wasnt able to provide a second key. Shower is over the bath: there is a bath mat but no safety grab rail for older/disabled guests to aid stepping into bath - we would have found this small addition really beneficial.
Cromarty is a harbour town on the tip of the Black Isle. Located 23 miles from Inverness and 20 miles from Dingwall. The apartment is within a 2 minute walk of all the facilities in Cromarty.
