A very comfortable property located just off the A9 means this is perfectly located for travel in all directions, easy to use this as a base for exploring the Highlands. Excellent garden if staying with dogs as fully enclosed. Well furnished with all facilities we required and ample parking.

We had a wonderful week at Red Kite cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything you needed for a lovely stay. We felt very relaxed during the week in a real home from home. The garden was very safe and secure and the dogs absolutely loved it. The door could be left open and they could wander in and out as they wanted. We loved sitting outside and watching the birds, the swallows in particular were very busy in the garden catching insects. The location is great as it is very easy to travel in any direction to many different places. We really liked Rosemarkie, Dornoch and our trip across to Ullapool. The owners, Margaret and Paul, were very friendly but not in any way obtrusive, we really felt as if we were in our own little world. We would love to return and we will!

we enjoyed a very comfortable two weeks in Red Kite Cottage, comfy beds, lovely big bath towels, all we could wish for. A very good location handy for the A9, with great views and bird life. We visited our old favourite places and found new. We like the food at The Priory Beauly, and Munro's garden centre just down the road. We were blest with wonderful sunshine and visability, apart from 1 wet day and a couple of cooler days.

  • Close by to many attractions

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Red Kite cottage , totally enjoyable, close to many attractions, the brewery at the bottom of the road to name but one ! The BBQ was absent this time but we came prepared so all was not lost ! The well fenced garden was a bonus for our inquisitive border collie, all in all most enjoyable I’m sure to book again in the future .

Every little thing has been thought about and provided. I visit family nearby when I go up so am out a lot but the comfort and brilliant suitability for dogs within the well fenced large garden, is second to none It will always be my first choice but is very heavily booked ( surprise, surprise!!!! ). I would recommend RedKite cottage unequivocally

A beautiful cabin set in its own garden, both cabin and garden very dog friendly. Centrally located and ideal for touring the north, shopping in Inverness or just chilling out at home. The cabin was very homely with little extras included, a lovely stay which I would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful log cabin set in ample gardens and dog freindly. The owners who live next door also have dogs and were very helpful and welcoming. The property which is easy to find is close to the major road network and is ideally located for Loch Ness, Fort George and both east and west coastal resorts. The Black Isle is full of interesting historical sites and villages as well as many outdoor activites and excellent restaurants.

Our family of two adults and two boys recently stayed at Red Kite Cottage and we would recommend to other families looking to explore the area. It was located close enough to Inverness to pick up supplies, great location for exploring the Black Isle, and easy drive to hill-walking in the country. We also enjoyed visiting Dorn and Nairn beaches, local restaurants, and historic Scotland sites. The cottage was a great place to relax at the end of a busy day.

Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week at Red Kite Cottage. Absolutely everything one might need was provided. First holiday with our two young cocker spaniels who just loved the safe and secure garden. Pity we couldn't have chosen the weather as it rained every day but the cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Highlands.

Above are the major positives. Personally I feel the cottage should be given a new sofa and double mattress. One uncomfortable and the others cushions slide of when your sitting on them. Good enough for the money now but wouldn't have paid more.

This was our second stay at Red Kite cottage and it will not be our last! The log cabin is comfortable with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The view from the cabin is over farm land. The cabin is well situated to explore all points of the compass. We particularly enjoy relaxing watching the dolphins at Channonry Point or sitting on Rosemarkie beach eating ice cream!!

Such a lovely cottage in a beautiful peaceful location,, but handy for bigger places if you need to shop. Host Paul was very friendly and the cottage was very clean and equipped with absolutely everything - including a few welcome extras which was a good touch. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet holiday in the countryside

Welcomed to Red Kite Cottage with a smile and a good holiday wish. Property has everything. Cannot think of any home comforts and essentials missing. Location is fantastic for all surrounding points of interest. Some properties are just too far out in the wilderness... this is not the case with Red Kite Cottage. Supermarket is less than 10 minutes drive and you are in Inverness. Very good value for money. Beaches/Walks close... scenery stunning... secure fenced and gated garden.

We had a wonderful holiday. We had a long journey and got a lovely welcome from the owners. The cottage was warm and cosy, with a nice welcome pack of tea. milk and treats. It was so easy to find and near the main A9 so going out for the day was so much easier (no 3 mile drive down windy lanes to the main road). Red Kite Cottage itself was lovely and clean, warm and homely. Everything you could need was there. My border terrier loved it too, the garden was all fenced off and long enough to throw the ball. In the evening there were lights on the outside decking so that we could see when she went out (and pretty too). It was lovely and peaceful to sit outside and read and look at the countryside. Lots of places to visit both near and far with the A9 so handy. The television and equipment was great (more channels than home!) and the wifi good for topping up my kindle with another book and finding places to visit. We will definitely be back next year. Chanonry point only round the corner for a lovely dolphin show.
