  • Another great stay in Bowlins

Bowlins is a warm, clean, comfortable cottage in a perfect location. Everything you need is provided in the cottage and it's location is central to all the village walks and as a base for travelling to all the amenities on offer in the area.

  • A great week at Bowlins!

A lovely week in Nethy Bridge. Bowlins is a lovely bungalow, clean, comfortable and has everything needed for your holiday. We enjoyed our walks around the forest and our trips to Loch Morlich. The garden is large but only a small area of grass is sectioned off for the dogs which was sometimes a bit limited for 2 large dogs (Labs). We would also have liked to have some sort of seating in the garden as the weather was so lovely it would have been nice to sit outside. The only other downside for us was that the T.V. reception on some channels was very poor and unwatchable for most of the week that we were there. Overall though, we had a very nice time and really enjoyed exploring the area.

Very comfortable, warm, welcoming cottage. Spacious for everyone to do their own thing. All ages in our party thoroughly enjoyed their stay, so much so immediately rebooked for another holiday later in year. Only negative is poor quality reception on stv channels and an outdoor drying area for washing would be good!

Lovely little house, more spacy than it looks like on the pictures. Quiet village with shop, on driving distance from Aviemore and interesting locations for hiking etc. All linnen and equipment clean and fresh, very recent bathroom and kitchen. Only remark I can come up with is the absence of scissors and of a blender, so you can imagine we were very pleased with our stay!

  • Can't say enough great things about our stay at this property! We absolutely loved it.

This is a lovely cottage - very well appointed and very comfortable. The village of Nethy Bridge is lovely with plenty of local walks and also a small, well-stocked supermarket. It was very central to the Cairngorms area we wanted to explore and we had a very enjoyable week. I'd thoroughly recommend Bowlins/Gael Holiday Homes.

Had an excellent stay and came home very refreshed. 2 minor suggestions maybe provide a sweeping brush and dustpan. Also a long mirror probably in the larger bedroom.

We had a great week in this lovely property, loved the kitchen and bathrooms which looked newly refurbished. Having a good size freezer and washer/dryer were very useful. A clothes drying area in the large garden would be useful. The log burner would be lovely in cooler weather. Very clean property and nice selection of board games. Great walks and cycle routes direct from the house. Cairngorm and Aviemore are a short drive away. We cycled various routes, kayaked the Spey, walked up Cairngorm and tried paddle boarding at Loch Morlich. The conservatory at the front of the house could be made into a lovely sitting area but was useful for our outdoor clothing. Access to garage to securely store our bikes was great too. We would definitely recommend the property and hope to return in the future.

Lovely bungalow, very clean and tidy. Everything had been though about for comfort. Washer dryer, fridge and freezer dishwasher and microwave made the kitchen very well equipped Location was great for touring and we were able to see a great deal if Scotland, well stocked shop 2 mins walk away and all the supermarkets deliver to Bowlins. We booked through Gael Holidays after checking reviews we decided they were the most reliable and we would give them 100% for customer services

Nethy Bridge is located on the north edge of the Cairngorm National Park and is 14 miles from Aviemore, a 20 minute drive. From Bowlins you can bypass Aviemore and head straight to the Cairngorm Ski centre which is 18 miles or around 30 minutes by car.

Apart from the thriving town of Aviemore, with many shops, bars and restaurants the towns of Boat of Garten and Grantown on Spey are within a 15 minute drive or bus journey
