3 night stay to take in the New Year at the Red Hot Highland Fling. Apartment in an ideal for the Northern Meeting Park, restaurants and pubs - all within a 5 -10 min walk. Cosy and comfortable apartment - so all in all everything we needed for a very enjoyable New Years break!

Excellent accommodation in a very central location. Just 5 to 10 minutes walk to both Eden theatre and to shopping area. Tesco 5 minutes for food etc. Accommodation lacked nothing. Near a main road but no disturbance at night. Bedròom at rear and heard nothing.

This is really a excellent apartment you couldn't wish for more, The only thing I would say it's more suitable for someone going for a week or two I would recommend it to anyone but I don't think it's very suitable for one or two days you may be better off staying in a hotel

  • Beautiful and functional apartment

Almost nothing negative to say. The entire apartment is tastefully furnished and the bed and mattress were especially comfortable. As a result of a mistake of ours, there was a problem that required contacting the host , who went out of his way to resolve the issue with the least inconvenience to us (again, despite the fact that the problem was entirely our fault). The only surprising thing for us was that because of the ground floor locationk there is no view onto the street.

Close to everything and fantastic attention to detail. Although there was some initial confusion about access, our host couldn't have done a better job of rectifying the situation - even driving 20mi to make sure everything was OK. Great bloke who also gave us lots of travel tips. Highly recommended, it's such a convenient and comfortable apartment.

It is so nice, pretty clean, almost new and has all the comforts. The living room is quite big and comfortable as well the bedroom. It is 5 minutes walk from a supermarket and 10 from the city centre. It is on the ground floor on a street which is not too busy so we didn't have any problem.

The apartment was very clean, tidy and welcoming, the lounge and bedroom particularly of good size, the kitchen was well equipped and everything in good working order. Our stay at this property really enhanced our weekend and we would definitely book this accommodation again when we re-visit Inverness. I cannot recommend this property enough, contact from the property owners and the Gael Holiday Homes prior to arrival ensured that we had no doubts or concerns prior to travelling. This was a true home from home!

Stayed for four nights. The apartment was lovely and clean and furnished beautifully. It was a bonus to have a parking permit although I must say it was a bit of a nightmare to actually get a space to park in but it does say when you are booking that spaces cannot be guaranteed. In all it was a very nice apartment, comfortable and clean in a great location next to the city center for us it was an ideal base to walk in and out from the city center.

The location of Les and Sheila's apartment in Inverness is perfect. It's just a short walk across the bridge to downtown. And there's a grocery as well as restaurants very closeby! We were able to take a fabulous tour to the Isle of Skye for a reasonable cost and again accessed it really near to the apartment. We loved that the apartment was on the main floor and accessing directly on the street. It felt very private (and safe) and more like a small house and not an apartment. The apartment itself is large with lots of attention to details. Because we travel full time, we really appreciated that. There are floor lamps as well as lovely ceiling lighting in the living room. End tables in both the bedroom and the living room. A side chair in the living room, which is almost unheard of in short term rentals, lots of storage space throughout. The kitchen is really nice as well equipped with microwave, coffee machine, stove and oven and full size refrigerator as well as washing machine. Sheila and Les had thoughtfully left us a lovely bottle of wine and some start up items so we didn't have to run out to the grocery immediately upon arrival. We find it very unusual for no one to come meet us and guide us through the apartment in the first 24 hours. The key safe makes for easy access, but almost without exception all other places we've stayed in the last 20 months someone has met us or come to the apartment in the first day to guide us through all the appliances work, where the garbage goes, local tidbits. And yes, they had left a booklet with this information, everyone else does that too. It would have saved us a lot of time and frustration when it came to working the coffee machine and the oven in particular! When we did have one small issue Les came over immediately and resolved it, but I think even this could have been prevented with an initial visit with them. The wifi was okay but quite slow and there were many apps that we couldn't use because of the speed. But again we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to others. Most importantly the apartment was exceptionally clean and well laid out and that's what matters most!

Lovely accommodation, disappointingly no facility to relax with a movie of my choice (dvd player) sometimes its nice to have a night in. Spotlessly clean or so it seemed, but shocked to find someone else's things were still in the bedside drawer (given the intimate nature of these things) the cleaning staff really should have checked and remove them. This did make me wonder if other things had been overlooked

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. As discussed with you on the phone we are equally disappointed that on this occasion our housekeeping company hadn’t checked the beside cabinet and sincerely apologise for this oversight. As you and other guests have commented the cleaning standards are very high and we will ensure this continues having discussed this situation with them. Thanks for the thoughts about a DVD player, this is something we will consider, we don’t advertise having this so guests aren’t disappointed and do have a 50” TV with over 50 satellite channels in the lounge and another good sized TV with over 50 Freeview channels in the bedroom.

We thought that the apartment was great and in the right place as nowhere was to far away ,as we dont drive ,so it was good for us . The only down side is that we think there should have been a non-slip mat inside the shower cubicle ,as it became very slippy dew to shampoo etc, etc

  • Perfect place. Great alternative to a hotel.
