Holiday cottage on the outskirsts of Dornoch. Maus Steading is a well appointed character holiday home sleeping up to 6 guests.
Maus Cottage has been recently refurnished & equipped to a high modern standard.
Situated exactly 1 mile north of historic Dornoch, it will serve as an ideal base for golf, hill-walking, beach strolling or simply to unwind & relax. The property consists of an established seaview front garden & large sunny back garden, both enclosed & suitable for outdoor eating and children.
Two sofas, tv/dvd player, wood burning stove. Oak floors. French doored access to large enclosed back garden. Selection of books, dvds, board games.
Master bedroom : Large open plan en-suite. Superking bed, dressing table/stool, cabinets, WC, large free-standing bath, walk-in wet room high-pressure shower.
Bathroom : WC, Walk-in wet room high-pressure shower, radiator, large wash basin, towel rack.
Utility room : Washing machine, tumble dryer, coat hooks, wall mounted clothes airer, ironing board, iron.
Bedroom : King size bed, ample cabinet space, dressing table/stool, reading chair, sisal carpet.
Bedroom : Cosy King size bed, bedside cabinet, bedside table, reading chair, sisal carpet.
All bed linen, towels, electricity, hairdryer, internet access and parking are included in the price.
The cottage is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.
There are a number of restaurants, bars and shops in Dornoch.
Food shops: There is a Co-op and a convenience store in Dornoch. The Co-op is usually open until 10pm. Tesco, Asda and Lidl supermarkets are in Tain which is a few miles south of Dornoch.
Restaurants: Luigi’s on Castle Street, Sutherland House, Links House, The Eagle Hotel, a few others also.
Pubs: The Dornoch Inn, The Eagle Hotel, Castle Whisky Bar & Bistro, a few others.
Takeaway food: Chinese, Indian, Harry Gow bakers.
A refundable security deposit of £50 will be required as part of your final balance payment.
Entry time is anytime after 14:00, departure time is 09:30.
Cancellation policy – 25% of the total rental is charged on the day of booking to confirm your booking with the final 75% as well as a refundable damage deposit due no later than 6 weeks before arrival. There is a 24-hour cooling off period after your booking is placed where you may cancel free of charge after that you will be required to pay the full rental amount if you cancel.
Cancellation protection policy is available during booking or before the final balance payment is made.

Wonderful relaxing holiday

The cottage was ideal for a relaxing holiday in Dornoch - extremely comfortable accommodation with everything you could possibly need, an amazingly quiet beach just a short walk away (10 mins dawdling), a wonderful view out to sea and a beautiful garden to relax in. Dornoch itself was a couple of minutes drive, with easy parking and a great selection of general and niche shops. We would thoroughly recommend Maus Steading.

The owners make this property special-very atentative to any needs. The home is super clean and has everything you need for a golf trip It is only 1 mile from Royal Dornoch golf club

We enjoyed our stay at Maus Steading very much. Sure, having great weather helped but we found the house location perfect. Being able to walk to the beach in 5 minutes was great and only 2 minutes drive into Dornoch. The house interior has been refurbished to a high standard throughout and we enjoyed the use of the log burner. There are great views of the Dornoch Firth from the front garden which aren't apparent from the pictures on the web site. We would certainly love to come back , as long as you can guarantee the weather !

Superb homely cottage with a great view and gardens. Everything you could want and more was provided to make your time at Maus comfortable. We loved our stay and most definitely, we will be back.

This house has only recently been refurbished and the owner's have further plans for back garden and storage area to front. The standard of the fixtures and fittings is excellent and no expense has been spared for the soft furnishings. The front garden is very generous, with an established country garden, several seating areas and a fabulous view to the sea. The rear garden is enormous, with a grassed area suitable for a variety of sports and games. There is a patio area with excellent patio furniture and also a barbeque, unfortunately we didn't have the weather to fully utilise these. For the above average in height the low ceilings in the two upstairs bedrooms can be a bit troublesome, but I would have no hesitation in recommending this property. The steading owner's also own and run the extremely popular Luigi's restaurant in the town. We had two fabulous meals there. Booking essential!

Well equipped cottage, beautifully kitted out. Stunning views across the Dornoch Firth. Enjoyed many walks along the beach and the golf course into town.
Comfortably appointed & well equipped seaview steading with gardens. Fabulous location just 1 mile outside charming Dornoch.
