Our farewell visit to Dornoch
4 OUT OF 5

The cottage was very attractive and in the main very comfortable. The double bad was very hard for older bones. The bedroom only had patio doors and therefore it was not possible to have a window open at night, a must for us. The kitchen was way overstocked with china and saucepans leaving restricted space for storing food items. We were disappointed there was no dishwasher but were delighted with the laundry. This was one of many delightful and enjoyable holidays in Dornoch.

I think there should be more towels and bed linen. I booked for 6 adults and only 4 sets of towels were left. Lovely house, great location. One of the best houses we have stayed in around Dornoch.

The house is in an excellent position and only a few minutes walk to the town centre. It is very well equipped with all the necessary tools for a relaxing stay.

Very good Suggest a dishwasher would make it perfect. Why the review needs to be 100 characters long is a mystery.
Great holiday in an excellent property.

Oatfield is a very spacious property with excellent facilities and in a good location just a short walk from the town centre. It was easy to find, easy to access, and has more than adequate parking and a nice secluded garden. Difficult to fault.

The positive .... The property is very comfortable and lovely and quiet - a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life set in the delightful town of Dornoch. It is only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Dornoch from Oatfield where you will find well stocked shops and various places to eat out. We had a meal in the Eagle and it was very good. The negative .... No towels are supplied at Oatfield which we had overlooked and found quite unusual - we bought some at the Asda in Tain! A dishwasher would also have been a welcome addition. The code had been change on the keysafe so on arrival we couldn't get in! Fortunately I had the contact phone number and the situation was quickly resolved.
From Oatfield it is a short gentle stroll to the centre of the beautiful historic town of Dornoch with its unspoiled beaches and internationally renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Oatfield is a perfect base for walking, fishing, golfing, bird-watching and touring the Highlands, or for simply relaxing, a world away from all the stresses of modern living.
