We had a lovely break in this house which was clean, well-equipped and in a great location for Aviemore! Excellent!

We are a family of 4 who love the outdoors and usually holiday in Aviemore at least twice a year. We've stayed in lots of properties in Aviemore, Delmhor is the perfect location. We've stayed in several of the Delmhor properties and they are always clean & very well equipped, although we do bring some essentials from home like knives, chopping boards & serving bowls. This property did have a few issues, one of the bed frames was broken & we had to prop it up, the hot tub lid is also broken & makes it very difficult to get on & off, some issues with the flooring in one of the bedrooms too. As we're outdoors a lot & love cycling, even in the rain, it can be very muddy & this property does not have a washing machine, which is highly unusual for a self catering property. All in all we had a great stay and No.3 was very comfortable, we'll be back.
Overall excellent but disappointed by response to query re washing machine

The cottage was lovely in a great location and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub. But given that we we on an active holiday with teenagers, a machine machine would have been a great help. I was a bit disappointed by the unhelpful tone of the response to my query about the washing machine.

No bath plug, a bit of disaster when have 3 kids who need a bath before bedtime. Cooker dial broken on arrival making it very hard to turn cooker on and off. Hot tub lid broken on arrival making it very hard to get lid off but even more so back on - I have nearly put my back out doing this. Tried to phone Gilly on number given when we got her and noticed these things. Mobile was turned off and then couldn't get through.

We have stayed here before and it was everything we expected and wanted. This year however we arrived on Sunday, to find no key in the keysafe. After several phone calls we were told to use the next door property. Whilst eating a late dinner a key arrived for our property so we moved into it. However, we never got a key for the shed, so had no bike store or laundry facilities for the week, (I was told I could use the washing machine in No 4 until the Thursday). having had an opportunity to see no 4, we felt the kitchen was better equipped - we would have liked a cafetiere in particular.

Thank you for your feedback which we have passed to the owners of Delmhor no3. We are sorry you experienced an issue with the key but are glad the local housekeeper was able to rectify this albeit access to the shed in No3, for bike storage and the washing machine, being limited and not available for the full length of stay. We have asked the owners to review these comments to consider what action is required. Delmhor No3 is a semi-detached property whereas No1 & No4 are detached with larger open plan kitchen and lounge areas. We do hope you will visit again, please contact us directly prior to booking so we can see if we can help book one of the larger properties at a preferential rate.
A perfect location

Our stay was great just what we needed, the bungalow was clean, warm, well presented and in a perfect location. The hot tub was a real hit and having the shed to store items in was a bonus. My only suggestion would be to add mirrors in the bedrooms and some extra wardrobe space would be beneficial as only the master bedroom has any hanging space or a mirror. The staff at Gael Holidays were excellent and the call to wish us a great holiday was a lovely touch. Would revisit in a blink of an eye.

Great property, usually stay in Dellmhor 1 a couple of times a year but it wasn't available. Number 3 is still a great option. Love location, layout and of course the hot tub. Had some issues with High Chair not being in property, but was proptly sorted by Gilly at Gael holidays. Only issue I had was that floors weren't as clean as prior visits to Dellmhor. To be honest, a quick hoover sorted it out. Will definitely be back.
Nice cozy cottage in super location

Super little cottage, warm and spacious. Could be a little better maintained, no oven gloves, bulbs blown in bedside light in one room, sweet wrappers found under bedside tables and food under sofa! Bed in main room was broken on arrival didnt affect use but did text owner but didnt get response. WiFi is hit and miss which in this day and age is a must. Bathroom cupboard in ensuite is rusting as are the toilet roll holders. Weve stayed here twice now and will come back. But attention to detail would make the stay more enjoyable, the property has certainly aged in a year.

Really enjoyed our stay this is our 3rd time visiting Aviemore for our summer holiday. The home was lovely and the area was really quiet. Great access to the cycle routes which our kids enjoyed. So looking forward to booking up again for next year.

We stayed at Delmhor No 3 for a week from the 8th to 15th July 2017. The house was fantastic , the hot tub brilliant. The service and communication from Gael Holidays was first class. I will certainly return again . Very handy for hotel, walking, lochs and walk into centre of Aviemore. Well done to all concerned.

Ideal location for us (4 adults) as we had friends and family at the lodges at Coylumbridge. Not quite as far to walk into Aviemore as when we've stayed there. Having a hot tub was a bonus, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We hired bikes and it was useful to be able to lock them away in the shed. We didn't make use of the large garden, but this made the bungalow feel more private.
An enjoyable stay in Aviemore

Booked the cottage aware of location after staying in Glenmore previously. Cottage location is excellent for walking and cycling straight from the door with access to the Rothiemurchus estate and the forest trails. Loads to do in the surrounding area Cottage is a new build finished to a nice standard and very comfortable. Addition of a hot tub was great for tired legs after a day walking or cycling. Aviemore is 1 mile away and an easy walk. Bridge Inn is excellent as is the bar at Glenmore lodge for a more relaxed atmosphere for food and drink. Overall a great place to stay and would certainly recommed and will return

Fantastic week spent here. Location was perfect for us as there were many beautiful walks nearby for the dogs. Lovely property with modern decor and rooms were spacious enough. Hot tub was a major bonus! And the back garden is huge. Unfortunately, there was no washing machine there when we arrived but this was rectified within a few days. However, as it is outside, we did have a problem with the pipe inlet freezing on one occasion. Apart from that one little hiccup, we all really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
Relatively small changes are required to make this a better rental

Bathroom(s) require a couple of hooks for Bathrobes etc. Towels could have been more enlightening, they were not of the greatest quality. Whilst showering, you need a soap dish in an accessible location, the bath top surface slopes and shoots the soap into the bath. Shaving in the main bathroom requires either a better mirror or a better located light. We were only `Two ` occupancy and I can see problems for larger numbers being able to store clothes or dry, wet apparel. Some small tumblers would have been useful. This is a builders comment, but, the refrigerator door is just about the most difficult panel to open that we have ever encountered.
Located on the road to Rothiemurchas and the Cairngorm Mountains, Delmhor 3 is a newly built holiday home furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The holiday home offers guests a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre yet is still within walking distance (2 miles) for guests who prefer not to drive, cycle or take a taxi to and from the town centre.
