You'll take a ride from Gairloch to Melvaig up to 20 Minutes, with many sheep :) Really quiet and dark by night. You can see the stars and Isle of Skye! Sandy beach at low tide available.

three things could be better! 1. the wilan is too weak or does not work 2. A description in german and a german TV channel would be very helpful. 3. A better frying pan for frying meat etc. But all other was nearly perfect!

+ The surrounding is beautiful. Also the home is very big. - only rocks by the sea. No sandy beach - a lot of gravel around the house. More grass on the sea side of the house would be nice. - the dishwasher was broke, a new one have been orderd but did not arrive while we were there. Unfortunately not compansation or so ever. We were with a 3 year old child and thought there was a sandy beach so she could play there but that was not possible. In the surrounding is not much to do for little children. Gairloch is 15-20 min drive. Only 2 small supermarket. When you need special food, bring it with you or shop it at a bigger shop when you see one (Gluten free, lacto free etc) I would advise propperty owner to let it Incl bedlinnen.
Beautiful location with great Views

Beautiful location with great Views. Nice for dogs with the beach in front and the fence around the house. Everything you need is in the house, only a big pot is missing.
Rona is a perfect cottage to enjoy the beautifull Scottisch highlands and the coastline.

Whale watching from the window of cosy cottage

Our stay at Rona started off with a warm welcome from the cottage owner and continued with spotting a whale from the lounge window within half an hour (we set our scope up straight away). The cottage was spotlessly clean, very warm and cosy and was gorgeously light. The kitchen was equipped with all the equipment you could need and the bed was very comfy. The area around the cottage is very picturesque. Whales, dolphins and porpoises are regularly seen from the cottage window and on occasion you can even spot submarines. The cottage is a perfect place to stay.
