We stayed for three nights and wished we had stayed longer. The spacious apartment is so convenient for town, walking distance from sights, shopping and restaurants. Picking up the key was easy. You do have to carry your case up some stairs even although there is a lift. We had everything we needed in the apartment and it was spotlessly clean. Only thing was it was very hot, no air flow, plus no option for bedding other than a very hot duvet. It was noisy when windows were open but quiet when shut as they were double glazed. There are a couple of pubs below and the noise carried. In the man living area you can only open a door , no windows, and it rained a lot when we were there. Great having the washing machine when travelling. Overall a comfortable stay.

Very spacious apartment in ideal location. We enjoyed a tour of Loch Ness booked through an email sent to us by the apartment owners. Just a short walk to the bus station to pick up the tour. Lots of restaurants close to hand. Because of central location traffic noise is disturbing if you need to have windows open.

  • Good position but very noisy.

The unit had a good layout - some areas such a laundry & bathroom could have been cleaner. The unit is in a very busy location and there is constant vehicle & pedestrian traffic at all hours plus loud music from nearby entertainment venues. Noise is intrusive despite double glazing.

Good well proportioned flat but would benefit from a mobile air-conditioning unit or units as upright fans supplied are not up to the job in summer when it gets REALLY hot inside. the seat on one of the kitchen chairs is faulty and almost caused an accident for my partner. Bathroom extractor fan does not seem to work but shower is great and very controllable. Bedroom is very big and comfy as is the bed. The view out of the patio-type doors in the living room area is rather limited and marred by a big ugly building on the opposite side of the street blocking most of the view of Inverness castle behind it.. outside the patio doors is a verandah with 2 x garden seats which is fab although seats a little flimsy the view left and right up and down the main street is good. Traffic noise is an issue when patio doors are open. Couch in living room area very comfy but a bit low and would benefit from risers on all the legs TV & DVD player ok but note NO DVDs are supplied. Would use again if price is right.

The apartment is clean and if there are any questions the contacts are responsive. You can walk to all of your favorite restaurants and a coop/tescos are nearby. Great value for the money.

Apartment was great except for a couple of things - the parking space is in a very tight corner especially when there is a car already parked in the next bay and there is a pillar in front. The shower was great except it had not been cleaned properly from the previous guest and there were a few black hairs around! Also a couple of light bulbs were not working and there was not an ice cube tray in the freezer which I found annoying. Also chair in bedroom in front of dressing table had a faulty foot on the bottom where the screw was sticking out so it kept catching on the carpet. Also tea and coffee provided but no small pots of milk to see you through for the first night.

I had a wonderful two weeks in this Apartment. It is located right in the middle of Inverness, in Walking distance from Shops, grocery stores and restaurants. But it is also very easy to access by car and has a car park beneath the building. I had no trouble getting out of town quickly in the mornings and coming home in the evenings. A short notice extension was no problem at all.

Fab apartment, clean and comfortable, warm and all mod cons. Only downside was the lack of basics or welcome pack. No sauces or condiments (except salt & pepper), could have done with some tea / coffee/ sugar / ketchup / mustard... Other than this it was pretty much perfect.

Me and my friend travel to Inverness at least once a year and always try to book this apartment. It is so handy for shopping and restaurants/bars in the centre. The car park is very secure. The apartment is always very clean and comfortable and well equipped with all necessary appliances. We also love that it has a balcony overlooking the main street.

Modern, well-fitted, clean and comfortable but there was quite a bit of noise every night/early morning from the street. Moreover, the fire alarm went of at 2 am one night because of a false alarm in the pub two floors below. The fire brigade could not turn off the alarm and had to call someone in. This was not resolved until about 3.30 am. A few small items could be added to the apartment for visitors e.g. salt and pepper, coasters, shower gel, cooking oil.

Underground on-site parking included. Great to be on main street with balcony. Street not noisy at night. Key pick up made very easy. About 4 blocks from shopping mall. Great view of river. The location of the apartment spoils you for choice. The best bars, restaurants and supermarkets were within a two minute walk. The apartment was very spacious with 2 toilets and plenty of room in the bedroom for a travel cot. It was well located and having an underground car park space was a great perk. The main negative was that with no heating on and the window open during the day, the bedroom was still very warm so nobody slept particularly well.

Wouldn't stay again or recommend because of the disturbance from pub down below, still awake in the early hours Also street traffic very noisy as situated at traffic lights. We did however get 1 nights refund after complaining.

Gael Holiday Homes Reply on 04/10/2014
We are very sorry you were disturbed with noise from a nearby pub. We are working with the owners of the pub to ensure they have management in place to stop any noise escaping through the front or back doors and have assurances in place that this should not be an on-going issue. The benefits of the city centre location mean everything you need from a city centre break is on the doorstep, on occasion this does mean there is some hustle and bustle and some street noise however the apartments do have very good double glazing and sound insulation which cuts out the noise when the windows are closed. We hope you enjoyed Inverness and the Highlands and that you will return again in the future.

This is our favourite Inverness accommodation. We've stayed in a number of the different By the Bridge apartments and 206 is the one we enjoy best. We've come back to 206 at least four times. It is well-appointed and spacious and the option of secure basement parking is a massive bonus in the centre of Inverness. The service from Gael Holiday Homes and Mercury Services is first-class and comes highly recommended. We were a little disappointed with some aspects of the apartment this time round. We noticed that a number of doors and drawers in the kitchen were delaminating and this was causing them not to close properly. This was a particular issue with the dishwasher. We also had an intermittent problem with the intercom and door release for the foyer front door not working from the flat. My husband was stuck at the main entrance on a couple of occasions.

Probably the best value for money you're getting per square metre. A very spacious flat that feels like a home. The staff are very friendly in handling any requests we had. One minor thing to note which may be worth knowing is the flat does get fairly hot if the heating is left on too long as they are brick heaters they will take a long time to cool down.

Very Clean throughout except for two things. The shower which had some black mould on the grout where the tiles met the shower base and the kitchen sink plug holes were needing cleaned, hence only good for cleanliness and condition. Great Location, right in the City Centre. Bit pricey but not as much as some are asking for. (These apartments are maybe getting to expensive for what you get.)

Situated in one of Inverness's latest exclusive apartment developments, on the banks of the River Ness and just off the main street the apartment is less than two minutes' walk from the Inverness shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
