This 2 bedroom luxury apartment is just off the main square in Dornoch in Sutherland. Less than 2 minutes walk to the Royal dornoch Golf Club No8 Argyll Place is a great place to stay.

Extremely comfortable 2 bedroom modern apartment in the centre of Dornoch is the perfect place to relax after a day enjoying the stunning Scottish Highlands.  The apartment is warm and welcoming and has everything you need for an enjoyable self-catering holiday.

First Floor:

Master bedroom:  king-size bed, bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobes, en suite shower room.

Twin bedroom:  2 single beds, bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobe.

Family bathroom:  with plumbed over-bath shower, underfloor heating and heated towel rail.

Second Floor:

Lounge/diner/kitchen:  spacious, light-filled, open-plan kitchen/dining/living room covering the entire width of the apartment building.  The fully fitted modern kitchen has electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and all the pots and pans, utensils and gadgets you could want.  Lounge area has 2 settees, coffee table, flat panel TV with Freeview, DVD player and large library of films, iPod/MP3 dock, tourist information, books and games.  Dining table has seating for 6, and plenty of good quality dinnerware and cutlery.

 

The bedding, towels, electric, Wi-Fi and heating are included in the price.

Parking at rear of the building.

The apartment is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.

There is a hairdryer and iron and ironing board in the apartment. Please note there is not a cot or high chair available for this property.

There are a number of restaurants, bars and shops in Dornoch.

Food shops: There is a Co-op and a convenience store in Dornoch. The Co-op is usually open until 10pm. Tesco, Asda and Lidl supermarkets are in Tain which is a few miles south of Dornoch.

Restaurants: Luigi’s on Castle Street, Sutherland House, Links House, The Eagle Hotel, a few others also.

Pubs: The Dornoch Inn, The Eagle Hotel, Castle Whisky Bar & Bistro, a few others.

Takeaway food: Chinese, Indian, Harry Gow bakers.

 

Entry details: arrival time is anytime after 4pm, latest departure time is 10am. Late check out and early check in are available, subject to availability, at an additional cost.

Cancellation policy – 25% of the total rental is charged on the day of booking to confirm your booking with the final 75% as well as a refundable damage deposit due no later than 6 weeks before arrival. There is a 24-hour cooling off period after your booking is placed where you may cancel free of charge after that you will be required to pay the full rental amount if you cancel.

Cancellation protection policy is available during booking or before the final balance payment is made.

    Lovely apartment set over the main town square. Ideally placed for golf and eating out without having to use the car. Everything for a comfortable stay is in the flat. The only negative would only apply to someone who struggles with stairs as the apartment is et over first and second floors.

    Excellent apartment in the centre of Dornoch, within walking distance of everything. Thoroughly enjoyed it, but think three or four days would have been better than a week as we did exhaust the area and of course a lot depends on the weather, which in our case wasn't too bad, but you can't account for that.

    Great location and such a cute town. You're close to the beach and stores and food are within a 2 minute walk. We really enjoyed our time here. It was very comfortable and was well stocked with everything to be able to cook and get some laundry done. It was basically clean, however it could use a spring cleaning as baseboards and such were pretty dusty. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us.

    Ideal spot for a 3 night stay. Accommodation was very comfortable, well equipped and afforded lovely views of the town and was well located for access to the golf course and beach.

    A brilliant apartment, very clean, comfortable and there was everything we needed for a great week. It was surprisingly spacious which added to a lovely family break. Great location for shops, restaurants and a short walk through the golf course to the stunning beach. A very refreshing week. Thank you!

    3rd holiday booking with Gael Holidays in Dornoch. Ideal location, modern accommodation. Only downside is the 2 flights of stairs as the accommodation is on level 2 and 3. I personally wished the king size bed had a better mattress as I have a back problem. However my wife and son had no difficulties. Would certainly recommend this accommodation for a holiday in Dornoch

    Great house on the square. It's the second time we have stayed there and would definitely recommend it for anyone (as long as you are fit enough to go up the two flights of stairs). Location is fantastic for the square festivities, shops, bars, beach and golf club.

    Flat was easy to find, extremely clean and well equipped. The double bedroom overlooked the village square where the bus terminus was so not the quietest and the bed creaked a bit but minor quibbles. Would recommend.

    We have stayed at 8 Aygyle Place for a number of years and it has never altered. It is still warm, comfortable and has all the qualities for a perfect center for a stay in the north of Scotland.

    The only problem were the stairs, lifting suitcases to cover a 6 week holiday. However, being upstairs we had a perfect view of the pipe band on Saturday night - brilliant!

    A wonderful bright living space, in a central position overlooking the square. Kitchen very well equipped. Maps, lots of books and other useful items provided. We recommend this flat.


Location

Fabulous location in the heart of Dornoch’s conservation area, with spectacular views over the 13th century cathedral and historic buildings, to the Dornoch Firth and Sutherland Hills beyond. The town is right on your doorstep and has many good restaurants, pubs and shops. Walk to the first tee of the Royal Dornoch Golf Club in 5 minutes, and the beautiful, award-winning, sandy beach in 10 minutes.
