When do I pay for my booking?

After you have placed a booking either on-line of over the phone you will be required to pay a deposit based on the the type of property booked.

For Cottages, Holiday Homes, Log Cabins and Lodges a 25% deposit to confirm your booking will be required. The final balance will be due 6 weeks prior to your arrival and will include the refundable security deposit.

For Inverness Apartments and other apartments the deposit is 30% with the final balance due no later than 14 days before the arrival date. There is no refundable security deposit due for apartment bookings.

What is the refundable security deposit?

The refundable security deposit is a retainer which reflects your agreement to leave the property and it’s contents in the condition in which you found it. This will be refunded in full within 7 days of the end of your stay subject to there being no claim on it.

Does the tariff include everything?

In most of our holiday homes everything is included in the tariff price. On some there may be an additional charge, for example if you take your dog or require Internet access. Any supplement is clearly detailed on the holiday home listing and also as part of the booking process to ensure there will be no cost surprises after your booking is placed. Most of our holiday homes offer fully inclusive pricing.

What do I do if I have to cancel my booking?

If you have to cancel please contact us about this as soon as you can so we can make the dates available for other guests to minimise any fees. We strongly advise you to consider Booking Protect cancellation protection to cover you for any fees should you have to cancel. This will be available to add to your booking during the booking process and can be added anytime after booking up to the time you pay the final balance.

A summary of the cancellation terms :

For cottages, holiday homes, log cabins and lodges there is a 24 hour cooling off period from the time the booking is placed. You can cancellation your booking within this period and receive a full refund. After that period you will be required to pay the full rental, excluding the refundable security deposit, should you cancel the booking.

for apartment rental with terms of 30% deposit plus the final balance due 5 days prior to arrival should you cancel up to 5 days before arrival you will not be required to pay the final balance. The deposit will be non-refundable.

For all bookings the booking fee will not be refundable.

Can I bring my dog?

Many of our holiday homes welcome dogs – most do not charge any supplement. On each holiday home listing there are a group of icons. The dog icon will be highlighted in black on all accommodation that is happy to welcome your dog.

What time can I check in?

For cottages, holiday homes, log cabins and lodges check in time is usually anytime after 4pm. Most holiday homes have a keysafe located on a wall. This allows you the flexibility in arriving at a time that suits you rather than having to meet someone to collect the keys. The combination number to open the safe will be emailed to you as part of your final balance payment confirmation.

Apartment check in time is usually 3pm.

If you require check in and out outwith the standard these can be arranged, usually at an additional cost. Please enquire before booking to avoid dissapointment if it’s not possible to arrange this.

What do I do if I can’t figure out how to work the TV or heating or something is broken?

Hopefully everything should be in order for your stay however on occasion there may be something that you need assistance with. All properties should have an information folder which details how appliances work. If you are unsure or require any assistance during your stay you can phone the house keeping number given to you as part of your final balance confirmation.
