Kerrisdale is a lovely three bedroomed character cottage, set back from the main square and within easy walking distance of all facilities. The perfect location for a relaxing holiday! The enclosed and very private rear garden is a great feature, kids can play on the lawns and you can enjoy eating outside when the weather is good. Or you can sit in the spacious conservatory and enjoy the views of the garden.

The house combines the character of a period property, complete with traditional furniture, tartan curtains and antlers, with modern bathrooms and kitchen - the best of both worlds. The flexible bedroom layouts will happily accommodate up to six people.

Kerrisdale is very well equipped with flatscreen TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cosy fireplace etc and has recently been extended to provide a fabulous new first floor bathroom and downstairs showeroom and loo. As well as being a paradise for golfers Kerrisdale is a great base for fishing, hill walking, birdwatching and horseriding. And there are a wide range of other local attractions and activities too, including Dunrobin Castle with its falconry displays, Anta Fabrics and Pottery showrooms, Glenmorangie distillery, Falls of Shin Visitor Centre (a great place to see leaping salmon), the Loch Fleet nature reserve with seals and ospreys and a bit further afield the Castle of Mey and John O'Groats.

The famous industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie described this corner of Scotland as "Heaven on Earth" and we're sure you'll agree with him.

Dornoch is a charming and picturesque Highland town with stunning golden sandy beaches, two 18 hole golf courses and excellent facilities such as shops, pubs, restaurants and a library - all within easy walking distance of the house.

Dornoch's moment of fame came when Madonna and Guy Ritchie got married in the Cathedral and had their wedding reception at nearby Skibo Castle. There is plenty to do for all the family and at the end of a busy day you can return to Kerrisdale, put your feet up and enjoy a relaxing dram! In the summer you can watch the pipe band and highland dancing displays in the wide tree-lined square every Saturday.

When you arrive at Kerrisdale you'll get a full information pack with all the details you need to get the most out of your stay. We do hope you enjoy your holiday in Kerrisdale.

Good standard - close to the golf - fair price for 3 nights stay. Conservatory is excellent sitting area in good weather.
Gary, Glasgow : 19th May, 2016

We really like this well located cottage that suits our big, young family. It has character and is clean and well laid out. We love the conservatory looking out onto a hedged back garden so that the children can play safely. Lots nearby to keep us busy, we especially enjoyed fishing, the pitch & putt golf as well as Dunrobin Castle with its excellent falconry display and museum. Dornoch is a friendly town with unique shops and a bit of everything (but not too much).
Lynne, Ellon : 3rd April, 2016

Cottage was spacious and warm. Two bathrooms was an added bonus and the shower in the downstairs bathroom was really powerful. Large enclosed garden was safe for children and dogs. Well fitted kitchen and ideally located near centre of Dornoch, beach and golf course.

We had a wonderful time in Dornoch, especially as the weather was so good this year. We will certainly book Kerrisdale again.
