Lagnakeil Lodges has seventeen self catering Lodges, in four different styles and sizes, each offering modern comfort in a country location in Argyll near to Oban.
The Lodges sleep between 1-6 persons comfortably in 1 to 3 bedrooms and make ideal place for a family holiday. Each Lodge is self contained and includes a newly fitted kitchen, dishwashers in our Ash, Conifer and Poplar Lodges, electric cooker, microwave, water heater and appliances.
All Lodges have been newly refurbished over the past 5 years. All bedrooms are fitted to a high standard, with linen provided (beds made up for arrival) and all bathrooms have a full range of en-suite facilities with showers fitted above bath.
The spacious dining/living rooms with colour T.V. and Sky FreeSat TV channels are extremely comfortable and ideal for those relaxing moments. Wi-Fi internet access in all all lodges.
Whichever self catering Chalet you choose you'll discover each has a character of its own great to come home to after a day out exploring the area.
A Lagnakeil lodge is a great base for exploring where guests can roam freely are exciting, yet safe for children to explore. There are forestry trails and coastal walks as well as some fine "Munros" (Scottish mountains over 3,000 feet) for hill walkers.
Lagnakeil is only three miles from Oban. This picturesque harbour town with its many attractions, shopping facilities and fine eating establishments is ideal for those wishing to relax and explore.
The Inner Hebrides consist of Kerrera, Lismore, Mull (with the small town of Tobermory which has recently become famous as Balamory) and the granite mountains of the Morvern peninsula and beyond them are Coll, Colonsay, Tiree and Iona, the island from which Columba spread Christianity to Britain and Europe. All are accessible to visitors through organised trips. Ferries to the islands are run by Caledonian Macbrayne.

Lagnakeil is only three miles from Oban, the unofficial capital of the West Highlands. Oban means "little bay" in the old Gaelic tongue. This picturesque harbour town with its many attractions, shopping facilities and fine eating establishments is ideal for those wishing to relax and explore. The town was first made popular in the time of Queen Victoria. She called it "one of the finest spots we have seen" and from the early 1800’s visitors flocked to the place aboard the Comet steamship which linked Glasgow and Oban.
All bed linen and towels are included in the price
A deposit of 25% of the total tariff is requested in advance. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday (or by arrangement for short notice bookings).
No smoking is permitted within the holiday home
A laundry room is on site with coin operated washing machines, tumble dryers. Irons and ironing boards are also available in each lodge.
Pets are welcome at a charge of £3 per night per pet, (min 2 nights £6). Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times and must not be left unattended in the Lodges.Please bring your own pet bedding. All pet letting properties will be checked prior to departure for pet hair etc.
Cots and high chairs are available free of charge, please supply your own cot linen.An indoor playroom area has a TV, video, and many games & toys for children to play and keep themselves amused while you relax (unsupervised).A children's swing and other outdoor play items are also on site, nothing big or commercialised.
Electricity is an additonal charge - Charged by meter, read on arrival and departure, calculated at Hydro Electricity Board rates plus 5% VAT. For lodges in a normal week in May - end September the charge is approximately £4-8. From October to end April the charge is approximately £8-15.
All lodges have their own parking space just outside the door or close to each lodge in designated parking areas
