Situated in the old part of the fisher’s town in Cromarty, Fisherman's Cottage retains much of its original design and traditional features. Originally built in 1775, the cottage was fully modernised in 2013 and finished to the highest standard, offering comfortable self-catering accommodation in a picturesque location. This well-equipped cottage sleeps up to four guests with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. On the ground floor the main living area has a fully fitted kitchen, living room and family bathroom and the cottage is just a stone's throw away from the seashore.
Cromarty is a beautiful conservation village - much of the development of the town was in the early 18th century and there is a real sense of history and tranquillity as the village has been unspoiled by modern architecture.
Fisherman's Cottage is close to local amenities and is an ideal base for exploring the Black Isle and the wider Scottish Highlands. Activities in the area include walking, cycling, golfing, wildlife watching and boat tours, and the beautiful coastal setting makes it an idyllic holiday spot.

Alison, Sydney, Australia : 5th August, 2015
The cottage was situated in a quiet area but with good views of the water. It was very warm and welcoming. Everything was good quality and it was very clean and well looked after.
The cottage has been restored very sympathetically and with great care. It has modern facilities but has kept its feel of being a real old fishermans cottage.
Joan, Chelmsford : 8th June, 2015
Very comfortable and cosy. Fully equipped. Good position in the village of Cromarty. We have family living nearby. We would be happy to stay in the cottage in future.
Patricia, Sidcup : 4th June, 2015
It was modern and bright within the property, well furnished and the complimentary wine am shortbread was very unexpected - which was a delightful treat! We're moving back up to Inverness in the next few months, and this was the right push to making sure it will happen!!
Christine, Marlborough : 4th June, 2015

Sarah, South Lanarkshire : 20th April, 2015
We love Cromarty, and wanted particularly to come back to Fisherman's Cottage, with its location in Fishertown close to the Firth. It's a perfect size for our needs, cosy and homely. We've already booked for next year, and wish we could come even more often.
Liz & Gerald, Abingdon : 10th November, 2014
I have loved Cromarty since I was a boy and the cottage we stayed in was perfect for our needs. Home from Home.
John, Coventry : 4th October, 2014

Mrs S, Durham City : 18th May, 2014
Lovely freshly decorated interior. Tasteful furnishings and very comfortable. Large bright airy rooms. Very practical for our family needs as two separate beds in the second room. Plenty of hanging and drawer space. Large bathroom. All the equipment provided in the kitchen was great. Lovely location right next to the sea front and close to a pub and restaurants.
Janet, Edinburgh : 14th March, 2014
We love this cottage and we are delighted it is back listed with you again. The recent upgrades have really lifted this cottage. We will be back again.
Graham, Windermere : 6th February, 2014
The house is lovely and far better appointed when compared to previous owners. The only thing I think that needs to be added is broadband/WIFI (given lack of Blackberry/iphone coverage) as users will often need to keep in contact with work. Also hanging space for clothes is very limited. Other than that, brilliant!
Guest from Glasgow : 24th October, 2013
We had a wonderful short autumn break in Cromarty. Fisherman's cottage has been beautifully renovated and is very comfortable and well equipped. An initial problem with the hot water supply was quickly resolved by the owner after a phone call. Excellent service! The cottage is located up a narrow lane among other similar cottages and consequently lacks any direct outlook. This also means that there is no parking at the cottage itself and no garden. But that is the way that these houses were built. Look at any fisher town along the east coast of Scotland. The shore with magnificent outlooks over the Cromarty Firth is only a few steps away, great for early morning dog walks!Mobile phone reception is very limited in Cromarty and I could be found with phone in had walking along the shore trying to find a signal. The owners are considering providing Wi-Fi in the cottage. That would be nice!
Mr C, Hatton : 17th October, 2013

Mrs S, London : 9th September, 2013
The cottage was lovely - spotlessly clean, great location.
Ms N, Peebles : 28th August, 2013
very good, ideal situation, it was very quiet just what we were looking for.
Mr A, Turriff : 15th August, 2013
Familiar with the cottage from previous visits and loving its character and situation within Cromarty, already a favourite destination, we were keen to see the improvements made by the new owners. Fisherman's cottage has lost none of its character, but is now both comfortable and ... with its previous shortcomings (inefficient storage heating and basic bathrooms) sorted, the bathroom transformed.. and all presented beautifully. We have always felt at home in Cromarty and now fishermans cottage feels like home too, if not better! Already dreaming of next time...
