Fisherman's Cottage
Fisherman's Cottage
Fisherman's Cottage, originally built in 1775, retains much of its original design and features and has been fully modernised in the Summer of 2007 to the highest of standards and is just a stone's throw away from the seashore. Located on the tip of the Black Isle peninsula, Cromarty is situated 22 miles north east of Inverness. With much of the development of the town being in the early 18th century and now unspoiled by modern architecture a real sense of history and tranquility surrounds this idyllic spot. This well equipped traditional cottage, sleeping up to 5 people, has one double bedroom, with en suite shower room and one family bedroom, with two single beds and an additional fold down single bed.
The main living area, on the ground floor, has fully fitted kitchen, living room and bathroom. With the development of better road, rail and air links Fisherman's Cottage, located in the old part of the fishers town, is an ideal base to explore the Black Isle and the wider Scottish Highlands.

Mr A, Lanarkshire
Many thanks for a very comfortable stay in your welcoming cottage in a
charming location. We are regular visitors to Cromarty but have never
stayed until this short break in Oct. It was a late booking due to
family commitments and what a lucky find! Upon arrival we looked round
in delight at so many original features like the beamed ceilings and
fireplaces! It was warm & cosy inside, an ideal place to have a
quiet, peaceful stay away from the hustle & bustle of home. Also
important to us was the dog friendly nature of fisherman's cottage where
none of the rooms are out of bounds! I particularly enjoyed being able
to see the Firth from the kitchen window too. We want to visit again
asap!!

A lovely, traditional cottage, comfortable and with charm and character.
Close to the waterfront for great scenery and interesting walks.
So
peaceful it is impossible not to relax.

Beautuful cottage, full of character.
Mrs A, Stirling
This was our first trip to the Black Isle and we were certainly not
disappointed. The location and setting of the cottage was fantastic. The
cottage was warm and inviting and everything was supplied for our
convenience. All we needed was our clothing and food. We were a party of
3 adults and 1 well-behaved dog and the best thing for us was being
able to relax in front of the log fire each night. There was an
abundance of games, books, dvd's, etc for real relaxing times. The
local residents were all so helpful and friendly.
Mrs H, Cheshire

We enjoy being in Cromarty and the Black Isle - we particularly like being close to the sea and the cottage's history being located in the Fishertown area of the town.
