Located on the road to Rothiemurchas and the Cairngorm Mountain Delmhor 1 & Delmhor 3 are newly built holiday homes furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The holiday home offers guests a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre yet is still within walking distance (2 miles) for guests who prefer not to drive, cycle or take a taxi to and from the town centre.

Both holiday homes have their own hot tub for those relaxing day or evenings at any time of year and the Hilton Hotel at Colyumbridge is just along the road where there is a restaurant, bar and spa facilities.

Accommodation & Facilities

All rooms are on the same level. Delmhor 1 is a detached house.

Lounge/Kitchen/Diner – open plan living area.

Lounge – 3 seat settee, 2 seat settee and reclining chair. Large flat screen TV with Freesat channels. Coffee table.

Kitchen – modern kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils.

Dining area – table and chairs to seat 6.

Master bedroom – Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobes, en suite shower room.

Second bedroom – Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobe.

Third bedroom – Twin beds, built in wardrobe.

Family bathroom – bath with shower, wash hand basin, toilet.

Outside – front and back garden gardens have grass with patio area in back garden. There is a covered veranda at the front of the house with table and chairs for 4. There is a hot tub in the back garden and a lockable shed for guest use with washing machine and tumble drier. This space can be used for drying outdoor clothing and for storing outdoor equipment.

There is a private driveway suitable for parking 2 cars.

The house is in a small cul-de-sac with no through traffic.

The house is heated throughout by central heating and there is an electric water heating system.

Wi-fi is provided at no extra cost.

All bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price. The holiday home is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.

A deposit of 25% of the total tariff is requested in advance. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday (or by arrangement for short notice bookings). A refundable good housekeeping deposit of £100 will be required as part of your final balance payment.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional cost of £25 per dog (small or medium sized dogs only please).

No smoking is permitted within the holiday home.

Due to the Cairngorm National Park being in a rural area, mobile phone coverage can be intermittent and dependant on your network carrier.

Travel cot & high chair available at no extra charge - please bring your own blankets.

Check in time after 4pm, check out time 10am.

Note: From July 2016 work will begin to build 5 houses in the same street as this property. The contractor has agreed to limit working hours to during the day. The area of work will be fenced off and will be secure.

Location & Directions

From the south turn off the A9 when signposted and take the B9152 toward Aviemore. Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout toward Coylumbridge B970. Continue past the Rothiemuchas Centre. Continue passed Delmhor (yellow sign) and take the next left 100 metres along. Follow the cul-de-sac round to the left and No1 is the last property on the right.

The cottage was modern, well equipped and furnished.It was spacious with adequate gardens to the rear and sides. The paved driveway allowed the parking of 2 cars. The laundry utility area was positioned within a spacious wooden hut in the back garden. We found this an excellent facility as not only did it serve as the laundry room but outdoor shoes and climbing boots could be kept here.All in all we liked the cottage very much. The cottage is undoubtedly well positioned for the eager walkers and ramblers. Other facilities are easily accessible by car also. Unfortunately the land closely facing the row of Delmhor cottages is currently being redeveloped for the addition of more homes. This meant the peaceful location being invaded by bulldozers, lorries etc. The entrance road was constantly muddy. We made the best of it and luckily the lovely cottage somewhat compensated for our initial disappointment.

Stayed in the area previously and enjoy the surroundings and landscape and outdoor things to do enormously. Accommodation was superb. Very well equipped and maintained. Will be staying again. Hot tub was a great bonus to come home to after being out and about for hours, and our 2 year old daughter thought she had her own swimming pool

The accommodation was superb with loads of room for 6 people. It is beautifully furnished and more than adequate. We were a family of 3 generations so there was something for everyone. I would have no reservations in recommending it to friends. A bonus was the hot tub after a day out in the fresh air. So was the garage as we were able to keep bicycles safe there. Aviemore has loads of activities both for summer and winter for the outdoor lover. There are lots of restaurants and places to visit depending on your own personal preference.
