Enjoyed staying at the cottage and had a great holiday.

It was probably the most warm and comfortable house we have stayed in - with the most comfortable bed
Mrs A, Fortrose
Just absolutely loved the accommodation . It was also so clean and tidy. Everything was perfection from the comfortable bed to the lovely bathroom and great shower . Kitchen was also well set out and well equipped with everything ! the only thing we picked up on was no ice cream scoop ! But hey ho , it had everything else so very happy.
Mr S, Inverurie
My friend and I (two middle aged but very fit ladies!!) loved everything
about this holiday bungalow. It is light and airy, very clean and
comfortable, well furnished with a lovely kitchen and bathroom, and has
wonderful views of the sea, as well as a path across a field to the
pebbly beach. Every detail to make the accomodation a pleasure to live
in has been thought of by the owners Frank and Diane, who live nearby
and are very friendly and helpful.
A fence around the property ensured
that I could let my dogs out without worrying that they would make a bid
for freedom!! The cottage is a nine mile drive along a single track
road from Gairloch, but with lots of passing places this is no problem,
and we found the drive, with its beautiful scenery a lovely start and
end to the day. In addition, the Melvaig Inn, a mere 5 minutes walk
along the beach ensured that we could have a drink in the evenings with
no worry about driving(it closes around 10pm). We had a truly wonderful
holiday and will definately be returning.

We
booked a few days in Rona cottage as a last minute getaway, both in
need of some peace and quiet.
This place was perfect, we arrived and
met the owners and were left to our own devices for the duration of our
stay. The cottage itself was very clean and had everything we could need
for our stay, could easily have spent longer than a few days there.
Views from the twin room and living room are fantastic and most mornings
could see Skye and more.
Location wise it is about 20 mins from Gairloch itself which for us
suited perfectly, and we had the Melvaig Inn handily in walking
distance, be prepared for the fact it is very remote - again what we
loved about it!
There's so much to do if you're happy to drive, we
visited applecross, Inverewe and lots of other lovely places around the
coast and in the hills.
I would recommend if you are up for longer than a few days, stop off at
Inverness or Dingwall to get supplies at the supermarket as the shopping
is limited - Frank and Dianne mentioned this so we were prepared.
It was a perfect base for evening relaxing in the evening and going
walking during the day.
Loved it and hope to go back!

After spending twenty years climbing around the Scottish mountains I can
say with confidence that Rona is one of the most wonderful base-camps I
have ever found - the view over the sea to Skye is absolutely
unbeatable and the cottage itself is warm, fully-equipped and
comfortable whatever the season (I've stayed in all of them!). The walk
along the beach to the nearby Melavaig Inn for seafood, good company and
a pint from the an Teallach brewery is the most blissful end to a day
you can spend hiking in the Torridon mountains, visiting Inverewe's
stunning botanic garden or whale-watching. I cannot recommend this place
highly enough - my only reservation is I don't want to share this
wonderful secret...!

Our first visit to Scotland! Weather mixed - walks great! Cottage very clean and comfortable with views to die for. Feeling very relaxed after a relaxing week of walking.

We had a wonderful fortnight in a very comfortable cottage in a great location. A highlight was seeing Minke Whales from the Orca 1 Rib from Gairloch. A very exhillerating experience that took us to the tip of Skye. We came home wet, windblown and thrilled. Thank you for letting us stay in Rona - everything was perfect.
