Dalfaber Golf and Country Club borders the famous River Spey, beneath the splendour of the imposing Cairngorm Mountains - the UK's largest winter sports area.

Set in the Cairngorm National Park, close to the tourist centre of Aviemore, Cairngorms's funicular railway is one of Scotland famous attractions and offers magnificent mountain views. Landmark Forest Heritage Park at Carrbridge, beautiful Loch Morlich and the Strathspey Steam Railway are more of the area's outstanding highlights.

Facilities include a Children's Club, Fishing, Gymnasium, Swimming Pool with Whirlpool, Snooker, Tennis, Babminton, Lounge Bar and Steakhouse. Golf - a 9-hole Course on site, bordering Spey Valley Championship Golf Course.

Activities Nearby - Loch Morlich and Glenmore Walking Trails, Horse Riding, Mountain Biking, Snow Sports, Climbing, Quad Biking, Indoor and Outdoor Tennis, Clay Pigeon Shooting.

Local Attractions - Reindeer Herd, Rothiemurchus Estate, Strathspey Steam Railway, Sled Dog Centre, Highland Wildlife Park, Loch Ness, Cawdor Castle, Cairngorm Mountain Railway. The Tourist Office in the centre of Aviemore will have up to date activities, brochures and maps for all the information you will need for this New Year Holiday. - times of various Firework Displays etc. There is a good bus service to Inverness and surrounding villages and up to the mountain for the skiers - an hourly service almost door to door. Inverness Airport 45 mins away.

Many restaurants for eating out and take-aways in Aviemore. Other entertainment in all the hotels, music and dancing etc.

Accommodation & Facilities

Ground Floor

Entrance/Hallway - On entering the hallway, facing you through a door is the ground floor bathroom - this is where the sauna is also situated. On your right hand side, against the wall is a double pull out bed if needed and a curtain surrounds this for privacy. This area is also used to store skis, boots, outdoor clothes. A spiral stair leads up to the main accommodation in the Topsider. At the top of the stair there is a gate witch can be used if there are young children.

First Floor

Kitchen/Open Plan - Well fitted kitchen - with eye-level oven, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and dish washer. All electric. Cupboards for your own storage and also housing crockery and variouse pieces of kitchen equipment. Dishcloths, towels, paper towels and cleaning fluids all supplied.

Lounge/Dining room - Lounge and Dining Room are open plan, situated at the top of the spiral stair on the right. Good table and chairs, doors lead out on to the balcony and lovely views over the surrounding area. All table mats, cutlery and various glasses are housed in cupboard/drinks cupboard for easy access, in the lounge.

Lounge/Open Plan - Lounge fitted with suite, coffee table, various table games. TV, DVD, telephone and all electric heating. The Open Plan areas take up half the first floor - full length curtains all around. From this area there is a door which leads to the other half of the first floor, which is the main sleeping area.

Double Bedroom - Lovely bright room, fully fitted with wardrobes and cupboards. Full length curtains, covering full length windows and door on the balcony. This room has en-suite facilities, bath, shower, toilet, wash-hand basin - soap, shampoo and towels all supplied. Views look over the estate and 9-hole golf course.

Twin Bedroom - This lovely bright room has two single beds, fitted wardrobes and cupboards. Full length curtains covering the full length windows and door leading on to bulcony. Lovely views over the 9-hole golf course.

Bathroom - This bathroom is fully fitted, bath, shower, toilet and wash-hand basin. All toileteries and towels supplied. It is situated across from the twin-bedded room and to the left of the door leading from the lounge and is sometimes used by your visitors.

Outside - Outside - under the Topsider there is plenty space for parking. The ground outside is all grass with trees and bushes and is next to the 9-hole golf course.

All bed linen and towels are included in the price.

A deposit of 25% of the total tariff is requested in advance. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday (or by arrangement for short notice bookings).v

No smoking is permitted within the holiday home.

A refundable security deposit of £50 will be required as part of your final balance payment.

Dogs welcome - maximum of 2 dogs allowed. Registration form has to be filled in at reception upon arrival.

Internet access can be provided at an additional cost.

Electricity is paid for separately and will be added to your account for settlement before you leave.

Location & Directions

Approaching Aviemore -(PH22 1ST) from the north or south A9 - follow signs to Aviemore.

Turn into Dalfaber Drive which is noticable by flags and big sign- north end of Aviemore - drive down and over the railway crossing and the Golf and Country Club is a couple of hundred yards on on the right.

Park and book in at Reception 17.00 - where you will be given Map, Keys and Resort Card which you must carry with you at all times.

This allows you to use the Aviemore Highland Resort's Swimming Pool in the centre of Aviemore too!
