Guest Reviews

We arrived and Mr Ewing showed us around and everything was as promised, we had a very relaxed stay, a lovely wood burning stove and plenty dry wood! Mr Ewing was very helpful, if we need a place to stay in the same area I will book the cottage again if it is free of course!

A very comfortable cottage in a very peaceful setting with amazing views.

This accommodation was perfect for a family holiday, a clean, fresh, beautiful house with lovely gardens. It was close to many amenities and a short drive into Inverness. Lots of special touches were provided by the owners such as home made jams and a pink bed cover for our daughter.
Mrs M, South Uist

Excellent friendly Hosts. Very clean and well laid out cottage. Very relaxing for couples. Would also be ideal for a family with children (even if it was wet) as there is a large play area upstairs and a lot of games and toys as well as videos.
Mr M, Edinburgh

Peaceful location but close to all local amenities and only 15 minutes from Inverness city centre. Great hosts - friendly and helpful. Lovely accommodation with everything you need for a relaxed break. Upstairs room would be ideal for children or teenagers giving them their own space. Would definitely return.

"Red Kite Croft House provided a comfortable, peaceful home from "

We had a warm welcome fro our hosts and were provided with all the information and assistance we needed. We were visiting family and friends in Inverness and also mountain biking at many of the Trail Centres in the area so the cottage was perfectly located for all our needs. There was safe, dry accommodation to keep our bikes and a comfortable, warm, clean environment for us to return to after strenuous days out. The cottage has lovely views and a tranquil atmosphere, and was also a hit with our children who loved the garden and took over the upstairs room for games and telly watching in the evenings while we relaxed in front of the log burner stove.

"Great centre for touring and very comfortable"

The owners next door were very welcoming but in no way intrusive. Helpful when asked and we had no complaints. We could travel easily in all directions to places of interest as the location was very accessible. Suited our kind of holiday to be out and about by day and relaxing with evenings in. Well worth a visit.

pleasant outlook, good sized garden for kids to play "hide & seek". Red Kites were regular visitors and a delight to see, convenient for Inverness and a variety of visitor attractions, friendly owners. We hope to visit again soon to see more of this part of Scotland. It is good that the owners make it available for short stays off season.
Mrs S, Edinburgh

The cottage is extremely comfortable and well equipped. There are lovely views to one side of the cottage, but the best view was out of the sitting room window watching the Red Kites flying over the field, marvelous.
Mrs H, Wooler

It was like home from home with all the gadgets and utensils provided in the kitchen. The views from all the windows were breath taking and we loved watching the red kites gliding over the field just over the fence whilst we were eating our meals.
Mrs C, Dudley

Very good. Owners next door very welcoming and helpful but not in any way obtrusive. Very central for touring in all directions. Good television reception which is not always true of holiday lets.Certainly to be recommended.

This croft house is just perfect. It has been simply but cleverly designed and finished to a high standard. Modern, clean and yet very homely it is a perfect base for exploring the area.
The owners are also the most delightful couple who make you feel most welcome and totally at ease from the moment you arrive. Overall a super little cottage in a central but quiet setting.

Log burner was lovely to sit at in the evenings. The children loved the upstairs with their own futon to sit and watch TV at.

Great cottage! Appreciated the flexability of staying only 3 days. Saw dolphins at North Kessock Dolphin Centre, Cromarty and Chanonry in one day! Cawdor Castle also good (though not for dolphins).

Many thanks for a lovey stay. We loved the cottage and the Black Isle. We particularly enjoyed seeing the dolphins, who put on a spectacular show for us at Channory point and the red kites in the field behind the cottage.

A fabulous week in a lovely cottage. Enjoyed all the peace and quiet the hills and glens had to offer. Saw dolphins at Chanonry Point, Red squirre3ls at Loch Ness and even managed to swim in the sea at Dornoch! We'd love to come back and meet you both next time round.

We felt extremely welcome at the Red Kite Crofthouse. Especially the children loved all the provided toys which were in an excellent condition. The choice of books was very good and the house was of an outstanding cleanliness. We will recommend as a first class & very child friendly holiday home.
