From pottery to photography to paintings, you can take a little slice of the Highlands home with you. Cromarty Pottery produces quality hand painted ceramics and pottery, and is the oldest operating pottery in the Highlands. The pottery is situated in the charming village of Cromarty, on a street lined with old fisherman’s cottages.
Located just south of Tain in a renovated farm steading, Tain Pottery is another wonderful pottery in Ross-shire. Browse their range of quality hand painted tableware featuring thistle and tartan designs, and watch the potters at work.
ANTA, Fearne, Tain
ANTA is a fantastic pottery and textiles shop near Tain, with a tearoom serving homemade soups and homebaking. Children can also paint their own ANTA mug (if arranged in advance) while you browse the shop.
Loch An Eilein Pottery, Rothiemurchas, Aviemore
Watch resident specialist Penny Weir create hand thrown earthenware pottery, which is then glazed in beautiful blues, greens and turquoises. You can also book a slot on Thursdays and learn to throw your own pot.
Highland Stoneware, Lochinver and Ullapool
Situated in the North West Highlands, with workshops in Lochinver and Ullapool, Highland Stoneware is known for its beautifully hand painted giftware, cookware and tableware made by a team of craftspeople.

An Talla Solais, Ullapool
An Talla Solais is a community run gallery featuring a range of exhibitions by Highland artists such as photography, paintings and textiles. There is also a cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee after browsing the gallery.
Aird Old Church Gallery, Ardvasar, Isle of Skye
