Gael Prize Draw Winner
Lucky winner, Mr Lachlan Simpson is planning an unexpected return trip to the Highlands after winning a £250 accommodation voucher in the Gael Holiday Homes grand draw.
Said a surprised Mr Simpson: “I think this is the first competition I’ve ever won. I wasn’t even aware I was even entering a prize draw, I just thought I was filling in the customer satisfaction survey.”
Mr Simpson, from Paisley, had been giving his feedback on a weekend break with his wife to the Highland capital, Inverness earlier this year. They had stayed at Apartment 404 By the Bridge and were delighted with their choice after booking through the Gael Holiday Homes website.
Remarked Mr Simpson: “The apartment was excellent, well located, and excellent for entertainment and restaurants. We were quite fortunate when we were staying in July that the Highland Games were on, so we took that in on the Saturday and it all worked in very nicely for us.”
Situated in the centre of Inverness near the castle and overlooking the River Ness, Mr Simpson gave Apartment 404 By the Bridge his personal seal of approval. With both stunning views and ease of access to everything the city can offer, the grand draw winner says he has no hesitation in both staying there again and in recommending the apartment to family and friends.
Explained Mr Simpson: “Its location was excellent, with the castle, trees and river. You are within walking distance of everything, and the big bonus point for us was the secure underground car parking. Inverness is a great base for exploring the Highlands; Nairn and Beauly aren’t that far away and there’s lot of places to visit on a day trip, so where we stayed was ideal.”
The apartment, too, lived up to expectation and in his survey feedback Mr Simpson gave it top marks.
“We would definitely go back to Apartment 404 By the Bridge. It was exactly as we expected. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the apartment was lovely and clean and tidy for us arriving. We could not fault the facilities, we were very pleased with everything,” Mr Simpson recalled.
As well as the apartment and its location, Mr Simpson was fulsome in his praise of the Gael Holiday Homes website, saying it was easy to find suitable accommodation, make a booking and pay. He had also used the local call rate helpline and been impressed by how helpful the staff were in dealing with his queries.
Concluded Mr Simpson: “If the rest of Gael Holiday Homes properties live up to the standard of the one we were in – and I’ve no doubt they are – then no-one should have anything to worry about.”
